Communication & Access Services for Schools

Consultation & collaboration to build staff capacity & enhance student outcomes.

We provide specialised allied health services that build the capacity of schools to support students with complex communication and access needs.

Our clinicians are highly skilled in implementing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and alternative access technologies (e.g. eye gaze, switch access) in classroom environments so students can access the curriculum and meet their potential.

We have experience working with Education Support Schools, Education Support Centres, Mainstream Schools and Education Networks to build teams’ capacity to support student access and learning needs.

Recognising the limitations of individualised student therapy supports.

Meeting the communication and alternative access needs of students within the classroom can provide complex challenges for educators. Collaboration between educators and allied health clinicians with specialised knowledge in these areas enhances staff skills and student outcomes.

Superyou Therapy’s services for schools do not replace the role of students’ primary therapists but can assist schools in co-ordinating and integrating varied student needs and recommendations into their classrooms.

Students’ NDIS funded individual therapy supports don’t always include and address school priorities or the training and support needs of school staff.

Superyou’s services for schools help enable co-ordinated, differentiated, systematic approaches to address the priorities and needs of school teams.

How do we help?

Each school has unique goals and needs, and we want to learn about your school’s priorities, business plan and the needs of your staff and students. We can work with you to design a package of support that meets your needs and preferences.

The intensity of our services can vary from short-term consultation to regular, onsite support embedded within your school.
