Lucy Strom

What drove you to choose a career in your discipline?

I knew I wanted to work in healthcare or with people, and then I was looking at degrees and Speech Pathology came up. I worked in nursing homes and then as a disability support worker for years while I finished my degree.

When I first graduated, I initially started working in adult neuro, but I found that I was being more drawn towards AAC, which then led me to Superyou.

Do you have any special interest areas in therapy?

I currently specialise in AAC, working 4 days a week with Superyou therapy and 1 day a week with Superyou Tech.

What’s your favourite part of your job?

I enjoy supporting clinicians and clients to use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to it’s full potential.  I also love supporting other clinicians and being in an environment where you can continue to learn.

Why did you join Superyou?

I came to Superyou because of the great reputation, and to join a great team of clinicians.
